Question about possible shill bidding and feedback .

Hi all, I just have a WWYD situation. I bid on and won two sets of cards from a seller. They had a starting bid of $5 with a BIN of $45. I watched it all week and there were no other bids. About an hour before the EOA I place a bid on each one. $11.57 on one and $12.62 on the other. I had to leave for a couple of hours and when I returned found I had won both auctions BUT my very max bids were the winning bids at $11.51 and $12.51. So now I'm thinking that's odd that another bidder went up to just below my max bid and then stopped bidding? I wouldn't have thought much about it except the amounts were different. They were bid on by the same person in the last few minutes of the auction. Do you think the seller might have had someone bid up to my max and then retract their bid? And would I have received an email saying I had been outbid? The other bidder has over 1400 feedback so isn't new to bidding and he only has a 6% bid history with this seller. So am I just being paranoid? It's not like it's a lot of money and I did win the items (which I paid for immediately), but the seller obviously thought they were worth far more than the winning bid. I'm usually a seller and would never think of doing something like this and always start my auctions at the minimum I'm willing to accept, so this is kind of bugging me. The auctions were 220632315360 and 220632317368. Any thoughts?|||Very important, there were NO retractions on either of those listings, and noone, including the seller would have known what your max. bid was so it would not be possible to intentionally bid just enough to expose your total bid. Plus that bidder does not have a suspicious bidding history with that seller, and 0 retractions in the last 6 months. All that happened here is that he felt that one was worth $11.00 and the other was worth $12.00 to him. Then he bid 1 penny more hoping to break a tie in case you had bid in round numbers. He didn't take the lead, and he wasn't willing to bid again, so you one both for one increment more than his bids. Oh, and in the future, you can see any and all bid retractions and/or cancellations on the bid history page for each item.|||OK....thank you for the info....so paranoia it is!! I AM happy to get the cards.....and the clarification about the retractions and cancellations will help in the future. Thanks again!
