SNAD - Seller wants me to return item not promising refund
So I bought an item that was significantly not as described. I contact the seller about this, requesting a full refund and preferably a refund for the return shipping as well. I state that if he doesn't offer me a refund for the shipping, he'll get a negative feedback, seeing how he more or less tricked me by posting (and sending me) pictures of a completely different item. Now seller says: "we will send you refund after you sent the game back to us and after we could check the condition, thanks" Is this something I should do? I mean, the seller (a company by the way) will then have Both my game And my money without even having promised me a full refund. Can the seller screw me royally or should I demand they promise a full refund? I'm afraid that if I open a case the chances of getting a full refund + the return shipping will go lost, as sellers aren't required to pay for the return shipping.||||||I guess so. I just wanted to let him know that I'm a man of my word and that if he made things right I wouldn't give him a negative feedback, because I'd promised it. I guess it got out a little backwards. Anyway, he tried to claim ignorance. Before the last mail he said: "we shipped you the chronno trigger game with box and two maps, it was the best and the only games of chrono trigger with that we had in stock, i don't understand your problem" The "threat" came after that mail, because frankly, he doesn't seem reliable. (And yes, he did send me the wrong item on purpose seeing how he replied. After I asked for a better picture of the item (a game) he sent me the same picture used in the ad, only in higher resolution, never mentioning that it wasn't of the box I'd recieve.)|||||||||Ok, it won't happen agan. But what I'm asking is if it's a good idea to send him the item without him promising a refund? He just said he'll refund me After he gets his hands on the item and has had a look at it.|||Link|||The "threat" came after that mail, because frankly, he doesn't seem reliable. Maybe he looked at your feedback left for others and felt the same way. Even some of your positives have negative statements.||||||
Excuse me, off to update something...
Why, I can't think what. I think I may start selling here again. Just one product--extra absorbant Kleenex. Should make a baby fortune.|||I can't read German so the listing doesn't help. What is wrong with the item?|||FB left... Positive: Fast shipping, a little bad at english for a Hong Kong seller.|||But what I'm asking is if it's a good idea to send him the item without him promising a refund? This is not about whether it is good idea or not. The rule is you have to return the item before you will get any refund. Every time you buy online, you are require to ship it back before the seller or merchant will give you a refund. As post #1 said, return the package with tracking (if the item is $250.00 or more, your need signature confirmation). If the seller fails to refund you after the tracking shows the item is delivered to the seller, file Item Not As Described claim with Paypal. If you have paid by Paypal, you will not lose.||||||Thanks for the Link drexon, my German sort of sux! I have to agree with gracie. And be careful when leaving feedbacks. adde parvum parvo magnus acervus erit.
